# NyBoard Preparation

Plug in the battery and long-press the battery button to power on the robot.

For NyBoard, please ensure you have uploaded the OpenCat [**Main function**](https://app.gitbook.com/o/-M-_eWZUjFA4usjshHcZ/s/-MQ6a951Q6Jn1Zzt5Ajr-887967055/~/changes/650/desktop-app/firmware-uploader/nyboard#upgrade-the-firmware-process-for-nyboard) firmware before calibrating.&#x20;

You must connect the [**USB adapter**](https://docs.petoi.com/communication-modules/usb-downloader-ch340c#connect-nyboard) and USB data cable or [**Bluetooth module**](https://docs.petoi.com/communication-modules/dual-mode-bluetooth#connection-with-nyboard) to the computer.
